Grandma's Phone: Scam or Not?
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-27
Introduction
RiverMountain Studio ("we") handles information in the game "Grandma's Phone: Scam or Not?" ("the game") as follows.
1. Personal data we collect: none
The game does not ask for or read your name, phone number, contacts, text messages, call log or location. The only device permissions it uses are vibration and the normal permissions added by the ad and billing libraries (internet, network state, advertising ID, Google Play billing, keeping background tasks running). None of them is asked for separately at install. What Google processes for ads and purchases is described in sections 4 and 5.
2. Stored only on your device
Game progress (continue), settings (language, sound, region), purchase status and ad-consent status are stored only on your device and are not sent to us. We run no servers. Uninstalling the game deletes this data. Device backup: If you have Android's automatic backup turned on, these save files (game progress, settings, remaining hint count and purchase-confirmation numbers already credited) are also stored in your own Google Drive backup, so you can continue after changing phones. That backup lives in your Google account and is handled by Google; we do not receive or see it. You can turn it off or delete it in your device settings (Google > Backup). Purchases and "Remove ads" are not carried over by the backup; on a new phone the game checks Google Play again to unlock them.
3. Sharing results
"Copy result" only copies text to your device clipboard; you decide where to paste it. We do not receive it.
4. Ads
The game uses Google AdMob (Google LLC, USA) to show ads. When you open the app, the ad library contacts Google's servers to check consent and get ready (not if you bought "Remove ads"), and when ads are loaded or shown, Google may process your device's advertising ID, approximate location (based on IP address), device information and records of ads viewed or tapped to deliver, measure and analyse ads and prevent fraud. This data is sent to Google's servers in the USA and other countries outside your own, and Google's policies decide how long it is kept. We do not receive this data. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before ads, and can change it anytime under "Ad privacy settings" in the game's settings. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. How Google uses data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
5. In-app purchases
Payments are handled by Google Play; we do not receive your card or payment details. To unlock items you bought, the game checks the purchase confirmation Google Play provides (item and order ID) on your device only. If you buy "Remove ads", the game no longer loads or shows ads, and from the next time you open the app it does not start the ad library at all, so there is no ad-related communication.
6. Children
The game is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not directly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
